About Axis Deer:
Originally from India, Axis Deer were introduced to Texas in the 1930s. These exotic animals are known for their strikingly beautiful coats and unique antlers. At Why Not? Ranch, our Axis Deer have access to high-quality nutrition year-round, allowing them to reach their full trophy potential.
Axis Deer can be identified by having an orange coat with white spots and a short tail, looking similar to a whitetail deer fawn. When it comes to mature Axis deer they will have white patches on their throats and only male Axis will have antlers that will range up to six points per antler and black spots on their faces. Female Axis Deer, unlike any other deer, can reproduce multiple times each year with great chances of their offspring making it to adulthood. The Axis Deer was initially introduced as a game meet and were kept on farms or in controlled hunting areas for food purposes.
All hunts require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.
